‘A slumber did my spirit seal’
Too much work. Too many deadlines. Too many money worries with stupid invoices and other uncertainties. This is strange, and comforting:
A slumber did my spirit seal;
I had no human fears:
She seem'd a thing that could not feel
The touch of earthly years.No motion has she now, no force;
She neither hears nor sees;
Roll'd round in earth's diurnal course
With rocks, and stones, and trees.William Wordsworth, 1799

What a gorgeous picture, another one of your masterpieces?
Thank you for the lovely re-cap of Kate’s sermon. I so wish I could have been there. I hope you guys saved some extra programs, so us Yanks can oh and ah over our delightful friend, Kate.

Hello VG. No, the meadow pic wasn’t one of mine, but one I sourced from an online image bank a few months ago. I’ve actually now replaced the pic with one that I think matches the mood of the poem a bit better, taken when Kate and I were last at the Lake District.
