There’s a tree in our garden that’s very pretty, for about a week. It started to blossom a few days ago, but the white will be completely obscured by green in a couple of days. Fortunately we’ve had beautiful weather to enjoy it.

And then after the green comes purple: beautiful damsons which I will turn into jam this year. Of course, I’ve been saying that for 3 years now and have yet to do it…...
And now I’ve just found a recipe for damson gin and am thinking that sounds quite nice too.
